Just a simple trick using pennies to make removing the Kickstand spring and putting it back on easier.
Thanks. I’m about to try this technique this afternoon on my V-Strom. One of the two springs broke and now I have replacements to install for both.
Thank You. You saved me a lot of time.
This was a life saver! Couldn't use brake pliers because not enough space. Thanks for sharing! I also subscribed.
Used the same method on my garage door springs 10 years ago.
Wow amazing 😁
Thanks for the pennies tip. Mine was knocked off accidentally. I just put one on my Triumph America by hooking the bottom end in first with the stand down and then pulling the top end from the opposite side of the bike using a ring spanner (wrench) to pull it. It worked a treat and job done in 2 minutes. 🙂
nice trick, but we don't have pennies over here 🙁 now I am stuck again!!!!
Good trick. stay safe
You only put pennies in one side!? They could've come out.
hmm That's good to know.
So that trick actually works! I had heard that technique for getting the spring off. It's funny because I just purchased a new spring as my kickstand was starting to get a little floppy. I'm gonna give it try this weekend!
dude that just changed the way i do that. thats awesome my trick involves smocking your knuckles off frame and some swearing hahaha
